Samruddhakisan Agro Research. We are located in Latur at R2/154/2014, Sul Nagar. Latur is where we do our research and work on agricultural ideas. It’s not a big lab like you see in movies. It’s more of a practical place where we look at how to make farming in this part of Maharashtra better. Sul Nagar is a decent area and we have our small office there. We call it "research" but mostly we are just trying to see what works and what doesn't for the local soil. Being in Latur, we deal with a lot of dry spells, so that’s a big part of what we think about. It’s a private company started by a few of us who wanted to do things a bit differently. We aren't trying to sell you something every time you walk in the door. We spend time looking at seeds and how crops react to different things. It’s a lot of trial and error. Our office in Sul Nagar is where we keep all our notes and data. It’s a quiet spot. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just what we need to get by. Most of the time, we are out talking to other farmers to see what they are seeing in their fields. It’s about helping the farming community here get a bit more "samruddhi" or prosperity, which is why we picked the name. We hope our work makes things a little easier for the folks around here.
