We aren't doing this for some big bosses in a far-off city. It started because we wanted to have more control over how our produce is handled and sold. Every day brings a different challenge. Sometimes it is about the rain, other times it is about the transport. We meet up at the office in Shree Krushna Nagar to discuss these things. It’s a humble setup, nothing too fancy. We have some chairs, a table, and plenty of registers to keep track of everything. The people involved are all local folks who understand the ground reality of agriculture. We don't use big words or make grand promises. We just try to work together so that the small farmers in Jalkot get a fair shake. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes with all the rules and regulations, but we are learning. It’s about sticking together and making sure the work gets done properly for everyone in the group. We are just trying to build something that lasts for our families and our neighbors in this part of Lature.
