We are located at Vasant Kishanrao Thorath’s place, which is House Number 140 in Jawli. Specifically, we're on survey number 26/5 in the Ausa area. It's a small operation run by folks who have lived here their whole lives. Farming in this part of Maharashtra isn't always easy, and that’s why a bunch of us decided to get organized under this name. We spend our days dealing with the soil and the local weather, which can be pretty unpredictable. Most of our meetings happen right there at the house or out by the fields where the actual work happens. We focus on the crops we know best and try to figure out the best way to get them to the market without losing too much money. It’s a lot of trial and error, to be honest. Some seasons are good, some are lean. We don’t have a big office or a bunch of staff in uniforms. It is just us, working with what we have in the Ausa taluka. We take care of the paperwork when we have to, but we’d much rather be outside. Our families have been farming these plots for generations, so we know the land well. This company is just our way of sticking together so we don’t get pushed around by the bigger buyers. It is honest work and we do it every day. It's not about being the biggest, just about being steady.
