Namonarsinha Farmer Producer Company Limited is based at 40/7 in Karla, which is part of Ausa. We are a small group of farmers from this area who wanted to find a better way to work together. Agriculture is the main thing here in Karla, and everyone is pretty much doing the same thing every day. We wake up early, head to the fields, and hope for the best with the weather. This company is our way of trying to get a bit more control over what happens after the harvest. We meet up at the office in Ausa to talk about seeds, fertilizers, and where we are going to sell our crops. It’s not a corporate environment at all. It’s usually just a few of us sitting around, maybe with some tea, figuring out the logistics for the next month. We deal with the crops that are common to this region. It’s hard work and the margins are often thin, so we try to help each other save money where we can. Most of us have been farming since we were children, so we don't need books to tell us how the soil works. We just needed a way to organize the business side so we don't get taken advantage of. It’s a straightforward operation. We keep things honest and practical, focusing on the day-to-day needs of the farmers who are part of our group and live nearby.
