Manyad Valley Agrotech & Export Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is located in Ahamadpur in the Latur district. We use Hanmant Abhangrao Devkate’s place as our main office, though most of our real work happens out in the Manyad Valley. That valley is where we grow our crops and it is a big part of who we are. We named the company Manyad Valley Agrotech because that land is what sustains us. Farming in Latur is never easy. We have to deal with long dry spells and sometimes we worry if the wells will hold out. We are just a bunch of farmers who decided to stop working entirely on our own. We figured if we pooled our resources, we could maybe even look into exporting some of our stuff one day, but for now, we are focused on the day-to-day. We talk about seeds, the cost of fertilizers, and how to get our produce to the market without losing all our money to middle men. It’s a lot of sitting around on plastic chairs and debating what to plant next season. We don't have any marketing people or fancy brochures. We just have our calloused hands and the crops in the ground. It is a simple life, and we are just trying to make it work for everyone in our little group. Some days are good, some are tough, but we keep going because that is what farmers do.
