Mane Farmer Producer Company Limited is run right out of the village of Ashiv in the Ausa Taluka of Latur. We are based at the home of Dyandev Baburao Mane, so it’s a very local, family-oriented setup. Being in the 413520 area of Maharashtra means we are surrounded by fields, which is exactly where we need to be to work with our fellow farmers. We don't have a fancy office or a big reception desk. Most of our meetings happen sitting on the porch or in the main room of the house. It’s a practical way to do business in a place like Latur where everyone knows their neighbors. We spend our time helping the producers organize their harvests and get things ready for the market. It can be quite a struggle when the weather doesn't cooperate or when prices fluctuate, but we just take it one day at a time. There aren't any slick marketing pitches here.
