Jijai Biotech Producer Company Limited is located in Latur. We are in Shop No.2 on the second floor of the Pawar Complex in Mitra Nagar. Being in a shop instead of a field makes it a bit different from some other farmer groups. We are right in the middle of the town area. Latur is a big hub for agriculture, so it makes sense for us to have a spot here where people can reach us easily. We deal with the more technical side of things, but we are still just local folks. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep and the office is often crowded with samples and bags. It’s not a shiny lab or anything like that. It’s just a place where we do the work. We talk to a lot of farmers who come in from the surrounding villages to ask about seeds or how to improve their yields. We don't have a big marketing budget, so we just rely on people talking to each other. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but we keep the conversation going. It’s a practical business and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. We are just here in Mitra Nagar trying to help out where we can. It is a lot of paper work and talking, but it is all part of the job we chose.
