Hemantrao Agro Producer Company Limited

Down here in Pangaon, which is part of the Renapur taluka in Latur, we set up Hemantrao Agro. We operate out of Arun Venkatrao Chavan’s house. If you know the area, it’s a pretty quiet spot. Latur can get quite hot in the summers, so we usually try to get our main work done early in the morning before the sun gets too high. We are a farmer producer company, so our focus is on what’s happening in the fields around Renapur. We don’t have a corporate office with a lobby. It’s just the house where we meet up. We talk about the crops, the monsoon, and how to get things to market. It’s a very local thing. Most of us have known each other for years. We aren't trying to sell anyone a dream; we are just trying to get a fair shake for our produce. People around here call it the Hemantrao group. We keep our records in simple ledgers. When you visit, you might see some farm equipment sitting nearby or bags of grain waiting to be moved. It’s a working place. We don’t spend money on fancy signs. We’d rather focus on the actual farming side of things. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us busy. Most of our days are spent checking on the local growers or sitting in the shade at Arun’s place talking shop.
