Hali Udgir Taluka Krushi Mitra Producer Company Limited

Our company, Hali Udgir Taluka Krushi Mitra Producer Company Limited, is tucked away in Post Hali, over in the Udgir area of Latur. We are located at Babasaheb C Kal’s place. It’s a small operation, mostly just a few of us who wanted to be Krushi Mitra or friends to the farmers around here. Latur has had some tough years with the water and the soil, so having a group where we can work together makes a big difference. We don't have a lot of money for fancy things, so the office is pretty basic. We sit around, drink some tea, and talk about what the crops are looking like this season. There’s always someone coming in with a question about seeds or where to sell their pulses. We try to help out as much as we can. It’s not a corporate job where you wear a tie. Most of us have dirt under our fingernails from our own plots. We just want to see the Udgir taluka do better. The paperwork can be a headache, especially with all the rules for producer companies, but we manage to get through it. We’ve been at this address for a while now and we’re just part of the village life here in Hali. It’s honest work and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is.
