Halgara Farmer Producer Company Limited is our name. We are based in the village of Halgara, in the Nilanga taluka of Latur district. We operate out of Shri Sambhaji Matiram Gaikwad’s place. It’s a real rural setup, which makes sense since we are a farmer producer company. We started this because we wanted to have a collective voice in the market. It’s not a fancy corporate office with air conditioning. It’s a room where we store our records and meet to discuss our plans. Most of the people involved are local farmers from around Halgara. We know the soil here and we know the struggles of the seasons. Working together under this company name helps us share the load. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write shiny brochures for us. We just tell it like it is. Life in Nilanga revolves around the harvest, and so does our business.
