The Gss Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Tivghal in the Chakur area of Latur. We are located at the house of Shri Yadav Vankat Chandrakanta. This is a small operation run by local folks who have been in agriculture for as long as we can remember. Latur can be a hard place for farming because of the dry spells, so we decided to pool our resources. We aren't some big city company with fancy ideas. We just know how to work the soil and how to take care of the crops we grow. Our meetings usually happen in the evening after everyone is done in the fields. We talk about what seeds are working and how to get our products moved to the market. It is a lot of practical stuff that doesn't need a lot of explaining. We are all neighbors here in Chakur, so we trust each other to do the right thing. Some days are harder than others, and sometimes the crops don't do what they are supposed to. But we just keep at it because that is all we know. We don't have any promotional flyers or big advertisements. We just rely on the work we do every day.
