Daneshwari Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group, Daneshwari Farmer Producer Company Limited, is based out of house number 05 in Kate Jawalga. That is a small village in the Nilanga taluka. If you know Latur, you know how it is out here. We are mostly busy with the farms every single day. A few of us decided it was time to work together instead of everyone doing their own thing separately. It helps with the costs of seeds and tools which can be expensive. We use the space at house five to keep our records and meet up. It is not a fancy building, just a regular home where we sit down and talk. Nilanga can get quite hot, and the farming depends heavily on the seasons. We mostly talk about the crops we have in the ground and how to get them to the market at a fair price. There are quite a few families involved in this now. We are not trying to do anything huge, just trying to make the farming life a bit more stable for everyone here. Sometimes the weather does not help at all, but having a group makes it feel less lonely. We do not have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just local folks from Kate Jawalga. We know each other’s names and families. If you come by the village, anyone can point you to the house. We are usually there in the evenings after the sun goes down. It is just honest work.
