Chatratej Farmer Producer Company Limited is located at House Number 30 in Dawan Hipparga. We are in the Deoni taluka area. It’s a group of us farmers who decided to team up. Farming can be lonely and the prices are always a gamble. We thought if we worked as one company, we might have a better shot. The office is just a regular house where we meet up. Dawan Hipparga is a quiet place, but we keep busy with the fields. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that. It’s just us, the locals. We talk about what seeds are working and how to get the harvest to the city. Sometimes it feels like we are just learning as we go, but we have years of experience with the soil itself. We deal with whatever the season throws at us. Some years the rain is good, other years it’s a struggle. Being part of this group helps when things get tough. We wanted to build something that stays in the community. It’s not a polished business, just a way for us to survive and maybe grow a little bit over time. We’re proud of being from Deoni. Most people here know each other anyway. We are just trying to make a living and keep the farms going for the next generation. It’s hard work, but it’s our life.
