Bhumata Krushivikas Producer Company Limited

This company is run by us farmers here in Kolwadi village, which is in the Ahmadpur area of Latur. We use House No. 250 as our main meeting point. We’ve all been farming these lands for years, just like our fathers did. But things have changed, and it’s getting harder to make ends meet alone. That’s why we started Bhumata Krushivikas. It’s just a way for us to stand together. We look after the crops and help each other find the best seeds and tools. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to grow good food and get a fair price for it. Latur can be difficult with the rain being so unpredictable, so we talk a lot about how to manage that. The office is just a place to keep our documents and have a seat when the sun is too hot. We’re very much a local group. Everyone knows everyone else in Kolwadi. We work hard, and we hope this company helps us keep our farms going. It’s not always easy, and there’s plenty of paperwork that we don’t really like doing, but it’s worth it if it helps our families. We are just regular people from the village, working the land every day and trying to be a bit more organized. The land is everything to us, and we are just trying to treat it right while keeping our tradition alive.
