Tan Academy Matriculation Higher Secondary School

Tan Academy Matriculation Higher Secondary School is located at No 30, Gandhi Nagar in the John Selvaraj Nagar area of Kumbakonam. It is a typical school setup in this part of Tamil Nadu. The heat can be quite something in Kumbakonam, so our classrooms are built to keep the sun out as much as possible. We have kids from all over the neighborhood coming in early every morning. The school is not flashy. We have the usual desks, boards, and a lot of books. The teachers are mostly busy with their lesson plans and keeping the kids in line during the lunch break. You can hear the sounds of the town from our building because we are right in the middle of things. Gandhi Nagar is a busy spot. We spend a lot of time just managing the day-to-day stuff like uniforms and attendance. The school building has a few floors and the stairs are always full of noise when the classes change. We have a small area for the staff to sit and have their tea. It is a very down-to-earth place. We don't use any fancy marketing talk because people in Kumbakonam already know who we are. It’s just a place for education where the staff works hard and the kids do their best. We’ve been part of this community for years and we just keep doing what we do every single day without making a big fuss.
