You can find Rice City Matriculation Higher Secondary School right at number 4 on Railway Station Road. We’re located in Aduthurai, which is near Kumbakonam. Being so close to the railway station means there’s always a bit of noise and movement around. It’s a busy little pocket of the town. We’ve been here for a long time, teaching the local children from primary levels all the way up to higher secondary. The school building is an old friend to many of us. We have classrooms filled with desks and chalkboards, and the usual hustle in the hallways between periods. Aduthurai is a tight-knit place, and many of our former students now send their own children here. We don't spend much time on fancy talk or glossy brochures. We just focus on the lessons and making sure the kids are where they need to be. The name Rice City comes from the local area's history, and we're proud to be part of that. Life on Railway Station Road is never dull. Between the trains and the school bells, there’s a rhythm to the day. We have a playground where the kids get some fresh air, and the staff room is always full of tea and papers. It’s just a normal school doing its best for the community. We've seen many changes in Kumbakonam over the years, but we stay right here doing the same work. It keeps us busy and we like that.
