P.S.M School

Our school is located near the Mahamaha Kulam South area, specifically at 23 Kanmani Devi Nagar in Kumbakonam. Being so close to the South Tank Street means we are right in the middle of all the temple activity and history that this town is famous for. The school is a quiet spot compared to the busy tank area during festival times. We have a simple building where the kids spend their day learning. It is not a very large place, but we make use of every corner we have. The rooms are filled with old wooden desks and blackboards that we use every single day. The teachers here are very regular people who care about getting the kids through their lessons. We do not have any big marketing plans or anything like that. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. The air here often smells like the local cooking from the houses nearby. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts or a bit of a mess after a heavy rain, but we just clean up and keep going. It is a very normal, local school life. We just try to provide a place for the children in Kanmani Devi Nagar to come and learn their basics without making it too complicated. It is just a part of the daily life in this corner of Kumbakonam.
