Tejender Food Service Outlet

Tejender Food Service Outlet is our little spot near the Pungh check post on NH-21 in Sunder Nagar Mandi. If you have ever driven through this part of Himachal Pradesh, you have probably passed us right by the road. The highway is always humming with trucks and buses going toward Mandi or down to the plains. We have been here for a while, just serving whatever we have ready for the day. It is not a place with a big menu or fancy seating, just some basic tables and chairs where you can rest your legs. My family and a couple of local guys help run the place. We get a lot of dust from the road, so we are always wiping things down. The weather here in the mountains changes fast, and sometimes the mist comes right down to the shop. We do not have any big goals other than keeping the kitchen running and making sure the tea is hot. It is hard work being on the highway because the hours are long and you never know when a big group might show up. We just take it as it comes. Most of our regulars are drivers who have been stopping here for years. They know us by name, and we know how they like their food. It is a simple life here in Sunder Nagar Mandi, just staying busy and keeping the outlet open for whoever stops by.
