Bogchi Cafe

Bogchi Cafe is tucked away on the first floor over in Rewalsar, Mandi. We are situated right near the Committee Office, so we get a good mix of people coming in throughout the day. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you’re here, it’s a nice little spot to take a break. We started this place because we liked the idea of having a small space where folks could hang out for a bit. It’s not a big corporate cafe with matching uniforms; it’s just us. Sometimes the music is a bit loud, or we run out of a specific ingredient because the supply truck was late, but we make do with what we have. The view from our floor is alright, and it gives you a bit of a perspective on the town below. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy and chatting with whoever walks in. It’s a slow-paced kind of life here in Mandi, and we try to reflect that in how we run things. We aren't in a rush to grow or open more branches. We just want to keep this one going and make sure the coffee and snacks are decent. It’s a lot of work running a small cafe on your own, but it’s better than working a desk job. We like the independence of it all, and the regulars make it worth the effort.
