We are located out in Gedalli Village. If you happen to know the Bettamugilalam Panchayat area, you already know it’s a pretty quiet and green spot. Melagiri Natural Products Private Limited is at No. 4/154. It’s quite a long way from the big cities, which is just how we like it. Denkanikotta is the nearest town where we go for supplies, and we are part of the Krishnagiri district. Living and working in a village like this means things move a bit slower than they do in places like Chennai. We work with whatever the land gives us each season. Natural products are our main focus because that is what is surrounding us every single day. The hills around here are nice to look at, but the roads can get a bit rough after the rains. We are just local people trying to make a decent living from what grows right here. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls or air conditioning. It’s more of a simple, practical space where we can get the daily tasks done. Most of us have lived in this village our whole lives. We know the local seasons and when the different plants grow best. It involves a lot of manual work and just checking on things constantly. We don't use fancy machines for everything we do. We just try to keep things honest and straightforward. Sometimes the power goes out or the rain makes it hard to travel, but that’s just life here.
