Ngr Aqua International

Ngr Aqua International is out in Someswaram Village, Alapadu, which is in the Kaikaluru Mandal of Krishna District. We are surrounded by water and fields out here in the countryside. It’s a very rural setting, and that’s exactly where we need to be for the aqua business. We spend most of our time out near the ponds or in our small office in the village. It’s a quiet life compared to the city, but the work is hard. We have to be up early to check on the stocks in the water. Dealing with fish or prawns means you don't really get a day off. The weather is our biggest concern. If it rains too much or not enough, we have to change our plans quickly. The people working here are all from the local area. We know each other's families and help out when someone needs it. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear boots and simple clothes because we’re always getting dirty near the water. The office in the village is just a place to keep the books and take some phone calls. Sometimes the phone lines aren't great, but we manage. We aren't looking to become some giant corporation. We just want to do our job well and take care of the business here in Someswaram. It’s a straightforward life and we’re used to the smell of the ponds and the hard work.
