Raj Traders

You can find us at 9/726 Cherooty Road in Nagaram. This part of town is always bustling. Cherooty Road has a lot of history and the buildings are all pushed up against each other. Raj Traders is one of those narrow shops that goes back a lot further than you’d think from the street. We’ve got stacks of items reaching almost to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a trick knowing exactly where everything is, but we manage. The air inside always smells a bit like old paper and whatever we are stocking that week. We get a lot of walk-in traffic because of the location. People are always popping in to ask for something specific. If we don't have it, we usually know who does. It’s a tight-knit community of traders here. We spend a lot of time on our feet. The tile floor is worn down in the center from years of people walking back and forth. We don't have a fancy website or anything. Most people just know us by word of mouth. Sometimes the monsoon rains leak a little bit near the back door, and we have to scramble to move the boxes. It’s just the usual daily grind. We grab tea from the stall at the corner twice a day. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s a steady one. We just try to keep the inventory moving and the customers who walk in through the door happy enough.
