Madeena Ice Factory

We've been around Arvind Gose Road for quite some time now. Madeena Ice Factory is just tucked away behind the Crown Theater here in Kozhikode. It’s not a fancy place, just where we make the ice. People mostly find us because they know the theater well. We get the machines running early in the morning. Sometimes the road gets busy, but we are right there if you look behind the theater building. It’s a straightforward setup. We handle the blocks and the crushed stuff. It’s cold work, but someone has to do it. The neighborhood knows us. If you’re walking down Arvind Gose Road, you can probably hear the noise from the factory. We don't have a big sign or anything. Just the name on the door and the address. Kozhikode has a lot of places, but we stay put right here. We've seen a lot of changes in the area over the years. The theater has been there forever too. Most days it’s just the usual routine. Making ice, loading it up. It’s what we do. Nothing too complicated about it. We just keep the place running and make sure the supply is ready when people come by. You won't find us on any main maps with big letters, but the locals know the spot. Behind the Crown is where we stay. We don't bother with much else besides the freezing and moving blocks out the door. It is what it is.
