Bright Foods

Bright Foods is set up in Mukkam, right in the Agastiamuzhi area near the Mukkam Kadavu Bridge. It is a nice spot because we are close to the water and there is usually a bit of a breeze. The bridge is a big landmark, so it’s easy to tell people how to find us. We have a modest building where we handle all our food production. It isn't a huge factory, just a local operation that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Usually, we start our day as soon as the sun is up to beat the humidity. You can hear the motorbikes and cars crossing the bridge throughout the day, which gives the place a bit of a steady rhythm. We do most of the processing and packing right here on the premises. We don't have a big corporate team, just a group of us who have worked together for years. We know the machines and we know the routine. Sometimes we have to stay late if there is a big order to finish, but mostly we stick to our regular hours. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint and the yard gets a bit overgrown in the rainy season, but it doesn't stop us from getting our work done. It’s just a normal part of life here in Mukkam and we are quite content with the way things are going for our little food business near the bridge.
