Ayka Fashion House Private Limited

Ayka Fashion House is basically run out of Lekshmi Nivas in Inchavila. The address is 4/63, and it’s a house that we’ve turned into a space for our fashion work. Because we are in a residential area, it’s usually quite quiet, except for the sound of our sewing machines running. We don’t have a big glass storefront or a fancy lobby like you might see in the city. Instead, you just walk up to the house and you’ll likely find us busy with some fabric or sketches. Inchavila is a nice enough place to work, and being at Lekshmi Nivas gives the whole thing a very local, down-to-earth feel. We handle everything from the initial design to the final packing right here in these rooms. Sometimes the space gets a bit crowded with rolls of cloth and thread, but we always manage to find what we need. It’s just a few of us working here every day. We don’t really do much in the way of promotion; most people just know us through word of mouth or by seeing the small sign out front. The weather can be a bit damp during the monsoon season, so we have to be extra careful about the materials. We usually just spend our time working and drinking tea. It’s an honest way to make a living and we like the simplicity of the setup. We don't have any corporate goals to talk about, we just focus on the next garment and the next day.
