We are located at Kiliyanthodi House in the Puzhamudi area of Kalpetta. This is way up in the Wayanad district of Kerala. It is a lot different than working in a big city. Here, it is mostly quiet and green everywhere you look. The air is actually fresh, which is a nice change from what you find in places like Kochi or Calicut. Our office is basically a house, so it feels very personal and homey. We don’t have cubicles or those grey office walls. Instead, we have windows that look out onto trees and sometimes you can hear the birds or the rain hitting the roof during the monsoon. It gets really wet here in the rainy season, so we always have umbrellas by the door. Most of us are locals from around Wayanad, so we know the shortcuts through the hills. We handle info services but we do it in a way that fits our surroundings. There isn’t a lot of rushing around here. We take our time to get things right. Sometimes the internet acts up when the weather is bad, but that is just life in the hills. We usually have a bit of tea together in the afternoon.
