If you walk down Beypore Road, you’ll find us over in Aakinar. The mill is usually pretty loud when the machines are running. There is always a bit of flour dust in the air, which is just part of the life here. We get a lot of people bringing in their grains to be ground up. It's a steady rhythm that we’ve gotten used to. The sound of the grinder is something you don't even notice after a few days of working here. We don't have a fancy storefront with glass windows. It’s just the mill on the road. Beypore Road can get quite dusty with the trucks passing by at all hours. We keep the shutters open for the breeze. Most of the people who come here live just a few streets away in the Aakinar area. They bring their bags, we weigh them, and then we get to work. It’s honest labor. The floor is usually white from the grain dust. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything works right. Aakinar is a decent place to be. It’s not too crowded but busy enough. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit to finish the work. We just sit outside and watch the traffic until it comes back. It's not a complicated business at all. We just mill the flour and keep the machines greased up and ready for the next person.
