Out here in Maniyat, things move a bit slower than in the big cities, and that is exactly why we like it. ABCOUS RESORTS INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE LIMITED is located at Edakkavil Kallai, right in the Po Maniyat area. We’ve been using the old building number PP XII/526 for a long time, though the new one is XII/146 now. It can be a bit confusing for the postman sometimes. We started this place because we had some land and thought it would be good to have a resort where people could actually see some green trees and breathe. It is not one of those five-star places with gold statues. We have simple rooms and a lot of space outside. My brother and I handle most of the day-to-day stuff, from checking the plumbing to making sure the gardens don't grow over the paths. We get a lot of families coming through on the weekends. They usually just want a place where the kids can run around and they can sit quietly. We don't have a big menu, just local food that we like to eat ourselves. It takes a lot of effort to keep a place like this running when it’s raining hard, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest resort in the country. We just want to be a reliable place in Maniyat for anyone who needs a break.
