Malabar Hotel

Malabar Hotel is located right near the Karaparamba Homeocollege area. Being so close to the college, we see a lot of students and staff coming through every day. It’s a busy little spot, especially during the lunch hours when everyone is looking for a meal. We start early in the morning to get the breakfast items ready and then move straight into prep for the afternoon. Our kitchen is small but we keep it moving with a few local staff who have been with us for years. The noise of the traffic outside and the chatter of the students makes the place feel very alive. We don't have any fancy decor or anything like that; it’s just a regular local hotel where you can get a plate of food. Most of our day is spent over the stove or cleaning up the tables for the next set of people. It’s constant work from morning until we close up at night. Sometimes we get catering orders for small events nearby, which keeps us even busier. Karaparamba is a nice neighborhood, and we have our regulars who come in every single day. We don't do any big marketing. We just focus on getting the food out on time so the students can get back to their classes. It’s a simple life, just running a small hotel in a busy part of town. The rainy days are a bit quieter, but otherwise, we are always on our feet.
