Valiyaveetti Stone Works

Valiyaveetti Stone Works is situated right near the Neelimangalam Bridge on MC Road in Kumaranalloore. If you’re driving that way, you can’t really miss us. We do a lot of work with natural stone, and our yard is usually full of blocks and finished pieces ready for delivery. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby; you usually just walk in and find one of us working with the tools. The sound of chiseling or grinding is pretty much the soundtrack to our day. Being near the bridge means we get a lot of travelers passing by, and sometimes they stop in just to see what we are making. We don't have a big corporate strategy. We just take the stone and work it until it’s what the customer asked for. It’s often hot work, and the rain in Kerala sometimes slows us down, but we keep at it. Our clothes are usually covered in grey stone dust, and our hands are pretty rough from the work. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a piece of stone has a flaw, we tell you. We’ve been here in Kumaranalloore for a long time and we just plan on keeping the machines running and the hammers moving for as long as we can. There is no mystery to what we do, it's just manual labor and stone.
