Udayam Tiles

If you take a walk down to the Industrial Development Plot, you will eventually find our place. We are Udayam Tiles and we have been working out of this spot for a good while. It is a bit of a dusty area to work in, but you expect that when you are dealing with tiles and stone all day long. We aren't some massive company with hundreds of workers, just a small crew of us making sure the tile stacks are ready when the trucks arrive for pickup. Some of our tiles are for floors and some are for walls, and we try to keep enough of the common ones in stock so people don't have to wait. It gets noisy in the shed with the cutters and the mixers running, so we usually have to shout to be heard. The floor is always covered in a fine layer of grit no matter how much we sweep. We don't have a showroom with bright lights or anything like that. People just come to the industrial plot, look at the piles of tiles we have ready, and choose what they need for their houses. It is just basic, honest work. Sometimes the old machines act up and we have to spend the morning fixing them ourselves. It keeps the day from being boring. We mostly see local builders and families from around here who are doing some small renovations at home.
