Our shop, Vinayak Telecom, is in Nayapura, right where things always seem to be moving. It’s not a big place, just enough room for the counters and some chairs for people waiting. Mostly, we deal with phone recharges and small accessories like cables or earphones. People come in when their internet stops working or they need a new SIM card. We spend a lot of the day looking at screens or writing down numbers. The noise from the street outside is constant, but you get used to it after a while. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit there waiting for it to come back. We have been in this spot for a good while now. It’s a simple routine. We open up, sweep the floor, and wait for the first person to walk in. There are lots of other shops around, so we know the neighbors well. We don’t have any big corporate setup, just a local counter where we handle what people need. If a phone is acting up, we try to see what's wrong, but we mostly handle the smaller stuff. The shelves are filled with boxes of different things. It’s often crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. We just keep things moving as best as we can. It’s a normal day-to-day life here in Nayapura. Nothing too complicated happens. We just stay here until it's time to close up and go home.
