Singhal Store

Singhal Store is right at the Keshavpura Chauraha in Kota. It’s on Teen Batti Road, which is always busy with students and local families. Being near the crossroads means we see a lot of people every day. We carry basic household items, stationery for the students, and some snacks. The shop is a bit small, but we make it work by stacking things up to the ceiling. Kota gets really hot in the summer, so we have a small fan that barely does anything, but we manage somehow. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. We know their preferences, like which brand of soap they like or if they prefer a certain type of rice. Sometimes we have a little trouble with the electricity, especially during the monsoon, but the shop stays open. I usually get here at eight in the morning to set everything up. My brother takes over in the evening so I can go home and rest. We don't really do any advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here. Sometimes the delivery boys block the front with their bikes, and I have to go out and tell them to move so customers can get in. It’s just the daily routine of a small store. We try to keep the most common items in stock so nobody goes back disappointed. It's just a regular life here, and we don't mind the hard work as long as things keep moving.
