The shop is located right in Bajaj Khana in Bahadur Bazar and it’s been there for quite a long time. It’s a family thing, passed down, and we just keep it going every day. The bazaar is always noisy with people shouting and scooters trying to get through the narrow parts. Inside the shop, things are piled up and we know where everything is even if it looks a bit crowded to someone walking in for the first time. We spend our mornings opening up the shutters and getting the dust off the counters before the first customers arrive. It’s mostly regular people from around here who know us by name. We don't have a big team or anything, just us family members handling the sales and the lifting. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it’s quiet just to watch the street. Bahadur Bazar has a lot of history and we feel like a small part of that. We don't use any fancy systems, just our ledgers and some old-fashioned ways of doing business. It gets really busy in the afternoons and sometimes we don't even have time to eat our lunch until late. But that’s how life is in a busy market. We just show up, do the work, and go home when the sun goes down. It’s a plain life but it keeps us busy and we are happy to stay right here in the bazar.
