I spend most of my time at the shop on Station Road looking through a magnifying glass. People bring in phones with cracked screens or batteries that don't hold a charge anymore. It is a small space, so it gets crowded quickly if more than three people are standing inside. I have a workbench in the back covered in tiny screws and bits of plastic that I try not to lose. Station Road is always busy, so there is a constant stream of people walking by the door. Some just pop in to buy a cheap charger or a new cover because theirs broke. I don't really have a big staff, it is mostly just me and sometimes a friend who helps out when things get backed up. The walls are lined with different cases, mostly for older models that people still carry around. I try to keep the glass counter clean, but fingerprints happen every time someone looks at a phone. It's not a high-end showroom. It's a place where things get fixed. Sometimes a repair takes longer than expected because the parts are hard to find, and I have to explain that to the customer. They usually understand. I’ve lived around here long enough that people know where to find me when their phone stops working. It's just a regular shop where we do what we can with the tools we have on the desk.
