Rama Raman

My name is Rama Raman, and I work out of Sajjna Appartment. It’s located on Jhalawar Road in Kota, which is a major road that sees a lot of traffic. The specific area is Kotri Gordhanpura. Working from an apartment building is a bit different than having a storefront on the main road, but I find it quieter and better for getting things done. Rajasthan can get incredibly hot in the summer, so being inside a sturdy building like Sajjna Appartment is a relief. My office is basically just one of the rooms that I’ve filled with books and my work equipment. It’s a bit cramped, but I know where everything is. I usually spend most of my day here, starting quite early before the Rajasthan sun gets too high. There isn't a big sign outside, so most people who come to see me are people I’ve known for a long time or people they’ve sent my way. I don't really do any advertising. The work just comes in and I take care of it as best as I can. Kota is a city of students and industry, and you can feel that energy even in the quieter residential pockets. I like the balance of being near the main road but tucked away in the building. It’s a simple way to live and work, and I’ve been doing it this way for quite a few years now.
