About Raghu Pan Bhandar – Food & Beverages in Kota
We've been here on Station Road for a long time now. People know us as Raghu Pan Bhandar. It’s just a small spot where we put together pans for folks heading to the trains or just passing by. My father started this, and I just kept it going because it’s what I know. We don’t have fancy signs or anything. Just a wooden counter and all the ingredients spread out. It gets busy in the evenings when the sun goes down and the air cools off a bit. You see the same faces every day, which is nice. Sometimes the leaves are better, sometimes they aren't, it depends on the market that morning. We just try to get the good stuff. It’s a lot of standing around and talking while we work. The station is always noisy, so we’ve gotten used to shouting over the engines. We sell some other small things too, cigarettes and matches, the usual. It’s not a big business. It just pays the bills and keeps us busy. If you’re walking down toward the platform, you’ll see us right there. It’s a simple life. We don't change things much here. Why would we? People like things how they are. Just a leaf, some lime, some nut, and a bit of conversation. That’s enough for most people who stop by our little corner in this city.
