Down here in Kota Digod, the shop gets pretty warm in the afternoons. I spend most of my time behind the counter looking at small screens and trying to figure out why they won’t turn on. People come in with cracked glass or batteries that died too soon. It’s a small place, just enough room for a couple of chairs and the glass cases where I keep the recharge cards and chargers. I’ve been working on phones for a few years now. The light inside isn't the best but I make do with a desk lamp when I’m soldering things. Usually, there’s music playing from the shop next door which keeps things from being too quiet. Digod is a busy enough area so there's always someone poking their head in to ask a question about their data plan or a new cover. I keep a logbook for the repairs but sometimes I forget to write things down immediately if three people show up at once. It’s just me running the show. Sometimes my cousin helps out when he’s not at school. We have a lot of tea while we wait for the glue on the phone screens to dry. It isn't a big operation, just a local spot where people bring their tech troubles. The shelves are a bit messy but I know where everything is. That's just how it goes here.
