R K Stationer

If you know Chhawani Chouraha in Kota, you probably know where R K Stationer is. We are right there at the crossing where everything is always moving. It’s a loud spot, but it’s where we’ve been for years. The shop is filled with stacks of notebooks, pens, and all those school supplies that students are always looking for. Kota is full of students, so we stay pretty busy with them. They come in looking for specific registers or maybe just a pen that writes smooth. We don't have some big corporate setup here. It’s just us behind the counter, making sure we have enough stock on the shelves. Sometimes the piles of paper get a bit high and it looks messy, but we know where everything is. When the exams are coming up, the shop gets really crowded. We spend the whole day handing out pencils and erasers. It’s a lot of work keeping up with what everyone needs. We also keep some office stuff for the businesses nearby. The tea stall next door is where we get our morning chai before the rush starts. It’s a simple life at the chouraha. We open up early, deal with the crowd, and close when the sun goes down. There isn't much more to it than that. Just a local stationery shop trying to keep the students and locals supplied with their daily paper and ink for their studies.
