People usually find us at Chhawani Chouraha, right on Rawatbhata Road 3. It gets pretty noisy outside with all the traffic passing by, but we stay busy inside the shop most days. I started this place because I know my way around a phone circuit. It is not a fancy showroom with glass walls and uniforms. Mostly, it is just me and a couple of others handling whatever walks through the door. One day it is a broken screen that someone dropped while getting off a bus, and the next it is a battery that won’t hold a charge anymore. We keep some basic accessories on the shelves too. Cables get lost or frayed all the time, so people stop by to grab a new one while they are heading home. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but you need that to see the small screws inside the handsets. Sometimes the parts take a day or two to arrive if it is an older model, but we tell folks that upfront so they aren't waiting around. We don’t try to act like we know everything about every new gadget, but we get the job done for the locals here. The floor gets a bit dusty because of the road construction nearby, but we sweep it when there is a gap between customers. It is a simple living. We open up in the morning and stay until the lights on the street come on.
