Located over in Gumanpura, New Cell Point is where I spend most of my time. It’s a small shop packed with all sorts of mobile accessories like chargers, earphones, and cases. Gumanpura is known for electronics, so there are a lot of people walking around looking for deals. My shop is simple. I don't have those big glowing displays, just some glass cases with phones and parts. People come in when their screen is cracked or if they need a quick recharge for their SIM card. I also keep some used phones for those who don't want to spend too much on a brand-new one. It gets pretty hectic during the festive season when everyone wants a new cover or a screen guard. I do most of the work myself, from talking to customers to doing small repairs at the back desk. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside, especially when three or four people come in at once. The floor is just plain tiles and the lighting is basic. I don't try to make it look like those high-end showrooms you see in malls. It’s just a place to get your phone fixed or buy a cable without any drama. I stay open late because that's when the Gumanpura market really wakes up. It’s a steady life and I like being my own boss in this little corner.
