About New Cell & Mobile Repairing – Telecom in Kota
We are located on Gurudwara Road in Gumanpura, right where the traffic usually builds up. The shop is small, mostly taken up by the repair counter where I spend most of my day. There’s always a pile of phones with cracked screens or battery issues waiting for me. I started doing this because I liked taking things apart when I was younger. Now it’s my job. We also sell some basic accessories like charging cables and tempered glass. The light in here isn't great, so I use a big desk lamp to see the tiny screws. It’s a messy workspace, but I know where every screwdriver is. People come in worried about their photos or contacts, and I just tell them I’ll see what I can do. Some repairs take ten minutes, others take two days if I have to wait for a part to arrive from the city. It’s mostly just me and sometimes a friend who helps out when it gets really busy. Gumanpura is a loud place, so there’s always a background of horns and people shouting. We don't have a waiting room or anything, just a stool if someone wants to hang around. I try to be honest about whether a phone is worth fixing or if it’s just junk now. It’s better that way so people trust you. The shop sign is a bit faded from the sun, but everyone knows the spot. I usually stay open until the market starts to quiet down around nine. It’s a good way to earn a living.
