Neelam Mobile Point & Watch Company

If you are walking down Chhawani Road, you will eventually see Neelam Mobile Point & Watch Company. We have been here for a good bit of time, and the shop is a mix of old-fashioned watch repair and new phone services. It is a long, narrow space filled with various tools and spare parts for both types of devices. The street outside stays busy with people heading to work or running errands, so there is always a lot of movement near the entrance. We spend most of our time hunched over the workbench. It might be a watch that has stopped ticking or a phone that won't turn on after getting wet. We don’t really have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the delicate stuff. The glass cases hold a variety of straps and phone covers, though things tend to get a bit dusty with the road being so close. Sometimes a customer comes in with an old watch that belonged to their grandfather, and those are the ones that take the most patience. Then you have the kids who come in with cracked phone screens from dropping them on the pavement. We just take it as it comes. There’s no big secret to how we run things; we just open the shutters in the morning and stay until the work for the day is mostly done.
