Naresh Pan Bhandar

We are over at number 83 in Keshav Market. It’s right in the Shakti Nagar area of Keshavpura. Most people know the spot because we’ve been here for quite some time. Naresh Pan Bhandar is just a small place, really. We spend the mornings cleaning the leaves and setting up the containers. It gets quite busy in the evenings when everyone is out for a walk. The market has a lot of energy. We don't have much room behind the counter, so everything has to be in its place. Sometimes the rain comes down hard on the roof and we have to move things inside quickly. We talk to the regulars about the weather or whatever else is happening in Shakti Nagar. It’s a simple routine we have. We wake up, open the shutters, and start the day. There’s always something to do, like refilling the jars or sweeping the front step. People know where to find us at number 83. It’s not a complicated business. We just stand here and serve whoever comes by. The lights from the other shops in Keshav Market stay on late. We usually stay until the crowds thin out. It’s just a normal part of life in Keshavpura for us. We like the rhythm of it. The morning air is always fresh before the market gets too crowded with shoppers. We take a quick break for tea when things are quiet. It’s a good way to pass the time.
