Mohta Designs

If you go down Bheru Gali in Rampura Bazar, you will come across Mohta Designs. We focus on the creative side of things, making patterns and working on different styles for clothing. It’s a small workshop compared to some of the big factories, but we prefer it that way. Most of the work is done by hand or with simple machines. We don't have a big corporate office; it’s just a workspace filled with sketches, fabric scraps, and thread. My family has been in this trade for a while, and Mohta Designs is how we keep that tradition going. The light in the shop isn't always the best, but we know where everything is. People come to us when they want something specific that they can't find in the bigger stores. We listen to what they need and try our best to get it done. Bheru Gali is a crowded place, so there's always someone popping in to ask a question or look at what we're working on. We don't use any fancy software to do our work; it's all based on what we've learned over the years. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s just how a real workshop looks. We are proud of what we make, but we don't feel the need to shout about it. We just open the shop in the morning and work until the sun goes down. It is steady work and it keeps us busy throughout the entire year.
