Mayoor School

You can find us over at Hh Farms, right by the Power House on Karni Marg. Sri Ganganagar is a place where the weather is always doing something extreme, either baking hot or freezing cold in the winter. Our school is tucked away a bit, but most locals know the landmark. The ground here is often dry and the wind blows a lot of dust around the yard. We have a few trees that give some shade, but mostly it is just the building standing out there. Inside, the hallways are wide and the classrooms have those heavy wooden doors. We don't have any polished marble or fancy lights. It’s just plain walls and functional furniture. In the mornings, the sun hits the front of the building, and that’s when everyone starts arriving. We spend our time fixing broken chairs or making sure the ceiling fans are working. The office is usually stacked with registers and old files. We know the families around here quite well since many have been in the area for a long time. Lunch breaks are spent under the shade when possible. The sound of the Power House nearby is just part of the background noise we’ve grown used to. It’s a quiet life most of the time, except when the kids are out playing. We just keep things moving, making sure the gates are locked and the lights are off before we head home across town every evening.
