Out here in Ladpura Bazar, our shop is usually full of the smell of earth and dried seeds. We keep large metal bins and jute sacks filled with whatever is in season for the farmers. It is a different kind of business because our work depends so much on the weather and the time of year. When the rains are coming, the shop gets very crowded with people looking for the right seeds to plant. We spend a lot of time talking about soil and how much water different crops need. It’s not just about selling a bag; it’s about understanding what will actually grow. The floor of the shop is often covered in a thin layer of grain or dust from the seeds. We use old metal scoops to measure everything out. Ladpura is an old part of town, and the bazar has a lot of history. We have been at this location for a long time, watching the seasons change year after year. We don't have any shiny posters or big advertisements. The farmers know us and they know we keep what they need for their land. Sometimes we sit on the wooden benches out front and talk about the crop prices or the lack of rain. It is a slow, traditional way of doing things. We just try to keep the seeds dry and the customers happy with what they take home.
