Kiran Public School

Kiran Public School is situated in Ward No.36 of the Amarpura Basti area. We are located near Giani Zail Singh, right along Dabbali Road. This part of town is pretty industrial and busy. The school stands out a bit on Dabbali Road. It’s a big building that has to accommodate a lot of students from the surrounding basti. The area can be quite dusty with all the trucks passing by on the main road, so we are always dusting the windowsills. We’ve been here in Ward No.36 for a long time. People around here know us as a place that is reliable. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just get the kids into their classrooms and start the lessons. The sound of the traffic is constant, but you stop noticing it after a while. Our teachers are just regular people who live nearby. We have a playground area, but it’s mostly just open ground. During the lunch break, the whole place is full of energy. Then it goes quiet again in the afternoon. We stay until the last student is picked up and the sun starts to go down. It’s a straightforward way to run a school. We don't try to impress anyone; we just do our work on Dabbali Road. It is just a part of the everyday life for us.
