Khandelwal Telecom

Khandelwal Telecom is sitting right on the Santoshi Nagar Main Road in Keshavpura. It is a busy spot where the traffic never seems to quiet down. The shop is mostly glass counters filled with different mobile phones and rows of SIM cards. We spend most of the day talking to people about their data plans or fixing a screen that got cracked. It is a small space, so when four or five people come in at once, it feels very crowded. We have a lot of bright posters on the walls from the phone companies, but they are mostly peeling at the edges. The floor is just simple cement that we sweep when we get a chance. In the evenings, the lights from the shop spill out onto the main road. We keep a box of small tools behind the counter for quick fixes like changing a battery or cleaning a charging port. People from around Santoshi Nagar stop by to pay their bills or just to ask about the latest models. It is a loud and lively place to work. Sometimes the internet goes down and we have to wait around just like everyone else. We don't use any big words or fancy talk here. We just tell the customers what is wrong with their device and how much it will cost to fix it. That is how we run things every day.
