Kedawat Silks & Sarees is located at shop 24 56 in the New Cloth Market. We’re pretty close to Mayur Cinema, which most people around here use as a landmark to find the market. The New Cloth Market is a huge place with lots of noise and people carrying bundles of fabric everywhere. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We specialize in silks and sarees, so the walls are lined with all kinds of different colors and patterns. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we like the energy of the market. We spend most of our day unfolding sarees for people to look at and then folding them back up again. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but you get to see some nice designs that way. We aren't a big chain store with uniform employees. We’re just a local family business that’s been in the cloth trade for a bit. The shop can get quite cramped when there are more than three customers inside, especially with all the boxes we have stacked up. We try to keep things simple and honest. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just sell sarees and talk to the people who walk through the door. It’s a practical way to make a living and we’ve been at it for a long time now in this market. If you are near Mayur Cinema, you can usually find us without too much trouble.
